Chatty Changui

Fausto is changing so much everyday that it's hard to keep up! He is becoming increasingly verbal, in Spanish, English, and sign language. Here are some of his words:
  • Mamá
  • Dada
  • Aup (that's what animals are called)
  • Hola (pronounced O-ra)
  • Whagh (short for guácala, disgusting en español)
  • Agua (pronounced abua)
  • Más (more, pronounced ma)
  • Oh wow!
  • No, no, no
  • Um-yum!
He also makes the signs for milk, hot, cold, ceiling fan, airplane, and hello, as well as mimicking the gestures of many animals, including penguins, seals, giraffes, elephants, gorillas, apes, and buffaloes.

Yesterday, Mr. Monkey learned his first color, blue. He pointed at the blue tile in the bathtub, to which I said, "sí, azul." When I asked him to show me more "azul," he nailed it.
