Spring Break

We just returned from 10 wonderful days spent recharging in Arizona with Fausto's grandparents, Bob and Nancy, his aunt Chris, and many tías, tíos, primas, and primos. In an unprecedented move for mamá and papá, this was a true vacation, with no work in tow. Papá went on long bike rides up into the high altitude desert, and mamá started each day with a run. Afternoons were spent introducing Fausto to many adventures: Spring Training, swimming, hiking, and rock climbing.

Although there were too many highlights of the trip to recount them all, there is one that must be shared, being one of the most satisfying experiences mamá has ever had.

On the last day of our trip we made it out for one final afternoon of bouldering. Those are short climbs that are done without ropes. After a couple of attempts, I "topped out" on the first boulder problem of the day and, already exhilerated, lookd down to find Fausto sitting at the bottom looking at mamá and clapping. Amazing.

Te adoro mi chiquito lindo!
Tu abuelita Arli (so far) because you may call me something else, te quiere mucho con amor de gallina clueca! Ya tu mamá te explicará este tipo de amor!
