Happy Mother's Day! I've not yet joined the ranks, but things are getting good. We had an excellent round of contractions this morning -- the most promising yet. And whatever it means, my innie turned into an outie overnight. Weird! Still feeling good. We went for a long hike this morning and then did a serious bunch of gardening to try to keep the contractions going.

Our diligent midwives are on it -- even on Sundays and holidays! Here's Andrea getting the baby's gallopy heartbeat. We also checked my blood pressure (which is holding steady) and my amniotic fluid. Assuming we're not in active labor in the morning, we'll go in for another biophysical profile (ultrasound) followed by a nonstress test (fetal heart rate and activity). More on that mañana...
CORRECTION: No amniotic fluid leak -- that was yet another fake-out!

Having heard the baby's heartbeat today was the most 'SUBLIME' thing to experience during the American Mother's Day, for a Mexican Abuelita ;-))
