Proper Southern Manners

This from my friend Sara from Louisianna:

Dear Fausto,

Proper southern manners for parties (aka your birth):
You should arrive at a party 30-45 min. after the time indicated on your invitation--never on time and never, never early. Your lateness is actually a respectful grace period to allow your host to finish up last minute party details such as setting out more food and tidying up the restroom (aka stocking your nursery and building your crib). Any time over that is considered poor manners. I do hope you will follow these rules and show up soon.

All the best,
Emily Post
