First things first: no baby yet. And now, here are some answers to frequently asked questions:
Q: You're a week late. What's your doctor say?
A: Doctor? We're working with midwives and planning a homebirth. They say that first babies, when left to their own devices, are usually born at about 41.3 weeks.
Q: Do you have an induction date?
A: Nope. Midwives are very patient, and so are we...uh, so far. Besides, I live in mortal fear of pitocin.
Q: Any sign of anything?
A: We're steadily ticking down the list of signs of progress. William is getting lots of practice timing contractions.
Q: How will we find out when you're in labor?
A: You probably won't hear about labor starting (I think we'll be pretty focused on labor), but we'll send an email out and will update the blog as soon as we're able.
